A Mid-Summer Note from Ellen: Community, Family & Peace of Mind

Written by: Ellen Fenton Owner / CEO (CPCU, AU)

We’re halfway through summer, and like always, life doesn’t slow down. Around here, we’ve been handling claims, answering questions, and making sure our clients are covered — especially after the unexpected weather events we’ve all seen this year.

As some of you know, we weren't just the agents during the EF-1 tornado that hit Great Valley — Some of us were also policyholders filing claims. Going through that process on the other side of the table reminded me of something simple: insurance isn’t about paperwork. It’s about people.

When something happens, you don’t want a call center. You want someone who knows your name. Someone who answers the phone. Someone who shows up and walks you through it. That’s what we do here. It’s what we’ve always done.

Mid-year is an ideal moment to review your plans and priorities.

Here are three things I recommend every client check in on right now:

  1. Home Updates: Renovations, new roofs, upgrades — if you’ve changed anything, let’s make sure your policy reflects it.

Without an update, you could be underinsured in the event of a claim. Let’s make sure your investment is protected.

  2. Big Life Shifts: New drivers, new baby, new job? Your coverage should evolve with your life.

Life moves fast—and your policy should move with it. A quick check-in helps ensure your coverage still fits your lifestyle.

  3. Understanding Your Coverage: If you don’t really know what your policy includes (or doesn’t), now’s the time to ask.

Peace of mind starts with knowing what you’re paying for. We’re here to help you feel confident about your coverage and answer questions before you need to use it.

Insurance should give you peace of mind — not a headache. If you're unsure, reach out. We’ll give it to you straight and help you figure out what makes sense. No sales pitch. Just sound advice.

Enjoy what’s left of summer!
